St. Cloud State University will host the regional competition for National History Day on Saturday, March 23. In collaboration with the Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS) and area schools, students, teachers and their families will descend upon the SCSU campus to learn more about history, research and pivotal points in history.
Huskies Hack with IDS took place last month in the ISELF building at the College of Science and Engineering (COSE), marking an exciting event for the students.
Sponsored by Immersion Data Solution (IDS), this hackathon witnessed the participation of over 50 enthusiastic students eager to showcase their skills. After lots of hard work, four student teams took home prize money from IDS.
Huskies Invent returns on March 22, offering a unique challenge for students from Thermo-Tech Premium Windows and Doors.
Huskies Invent is a non-stop weekend “Invent-a-thon”. Student teams have 48 hours to develop and present their unique solutions to real-world problems from industry partners.
The Department of Atmospheric and Hydrological Sciences (AHS) and its student chapter of the American Meteorological Society will be hosting an all-campus/all-community Skywarn Training Session on March 26 from 5-8 p.m. in Wick Science Building Room 114.
Attendees will be trained how to observe storms safely and responsibly, as well as how to submit reports to the National Weather Service. All are invited to attend, and attendees (aged 16 years and older) will be certified Spotters for the National Weather Service at the completion of their training.
Immersion Data Solutions (IDS) will be hosting Huskies Hack from Feb. 16-18 in ISELF, giving students the opportunity to get hands-on experience solving a real industry problem.
Huskies Hack is a 48-hour hackathon where students will team up to address four real challenges from IDS. At the end of the event, student teams will deliver a report and presentation outlining their proposal to address the challenge.
In a resounding triumph, the annual Diversity Job and Internship Fair emerged as a beacon of collaboration, inclusivity and unprecedented achievement on Jan. 26.
The event, started in 2008, showcased for the 17th time the growing prowess of our University, as well as the invaluable partnerships that have propelled it to new heights.

The 2024 Power in Diversity Leadership Conference featured the theme “Inclusive Innovation,” which centered the transformational impact diversity brings to an organization’s creativity, adaptability, responsiveness, prosperity and innovation.
St. Cloud State University students connected and interacted with over 130 of Minnesota’s largest employers on Jan. 26 during the 2024 Diversity Job and Internship Fair held throughout the first and second floors of the Atwood Memorial Center.
Students had the ability to meet with some of the state’s largest business, technical, healthcare, government, non-profit and education employers.
